Hi, I’m Carla! I’m an Alabama wedding and portrait photographer based in Pell City, serving Birmingham and beyond.
I’ve been behind the camera professionally since 2012, and after more than a decade of photographing weddings, I’ve learned that beautiful wedding photography is about so much more than taking beautiful pictures.
It’s about making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. It’s knowing when you need a little direction and when a moment is better left completely untouched. It’s keeping family photos organized, helping the timeline stay on track, and knowing how to adjust when wedding days don’t go exactly according to plan.
Most importantly, it’s making sure you can be present and enjoy your wedding while trusting that the moments that matter are being captured.
My Approach
My photography is joyful, romantic, natural and timeless. I love creating beautiful portraits, but some of my favorite images are the moments that happen in between—the laughter, happy tears, hugs and little interactions you may not even realize I captured.
When you need direction, I'll be there to guide you. When a moment is unfolding naturally, I'll step back and let it happen. My goal is for your photographs to look beautiful while still feeling completely like you.

After photographing weddings & portraits for more than a decade, there isn’t much about a wedding day or a family that surprises me anymore.
Timelines run behind. Weather changes. Dresses malfunction. Family members disappear right before family pictures. Things happen—and that's okay.
Part of my job is being able to adjust, keep things moving and help you stay focused on what the day is actually about.
I want you to look back at your photographs years from now and remember not only what everything looked like, but how it felt to be there.
That’s what I want to give every couple I photograph.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me spending time with the people I love most. My faith is an important part of who I am, and I’m incredibly thankful for the life and people the Lord has blessed me with.
I’m also fully embracing my great aunt era—and loving every minute of it. Family means so much to me, which is probably one of the reasons I’m drawn to photographing weddings. I get a front-row seat to some of the most meaningful moments families share together, and I never take that for granted.
I love spending time with family and friends, and lately I’ve found myself learning the art of sourdough. There’s something oddly satisfying about turning flour, water, and a whole lot of patience into something everyone can gather around and enjoy.
At the end of the day, I’m pretty simple: faith, family, good people, a little sourdough, and a camera in my hand make me pretty happy.
And when you choose me to photograph your wedding or your portraits, I hope you feel like you’re getting more than someone who simply shows up with a camera. I want you to feel like you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares about you, your family, and the memories we’re creating together.

Carla did an amazing job photographing our wedding. She was very organized and her attention to detail was outstanding! One of the things that stood out the most to me was her ability to completely change the first part of our schedule when we had a catastrophic situation with my dress! She reassured me that everything would be ok and kept me from panicking on my special day!
